Located at 2427 Park Ave, Tustin, CA 92782, Tsurukawa Udon operates as a japanese serving Tustin in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Tustin, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–2:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (657) 898-3013. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 167 reviews, which is a strong result for a japanese in Tustin and suggests consistent service.

Tustin is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Tustin follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The himokawa flat udon is only sold as a set for $25. It is really good, just not $25 good. All you get is unironically the noodles, a bowl of salad, and tempura (they give me one shrimp, in the photo there was three) and a missing nori seaweed. When I told them I feel a little ripped off for paying $25 for a set (that does not resemble the menu photo) when I could just order the noodles for $17, they told me you can only order the set now. How convenient. Turns out you can’t see it from the online order app but you can see they cross out the individual noodles in the physical menus. Okay going once for the larping but probably will not return until they lower the price or add more food to the dish. I will say, the gochugaru udon looks fire and I should have ordered that. But your experience might be different from mine since they keep changing the menu (menu portion vs. actual portion) Also, the place got a lot of influencer larp as of writing this (08/30/2026)

The food was unique and delicious, but the portions are kinda small for the price you're paying and we had to wait 30 minutes to get a table for 2. People with larger groups were told the wait was at least an hour. Ordering is via a QR code. Calvin, our server, was top notch during a busy Friday evening.

We went to get dinner before our movie and were excited to try this place out. We got there 30 minutes before closing and saw plenty of people waiting in line and still eating Inside so decided to try it out. We ordered the curry udon and the creamy spicy udon. The curry was good but it looked like they didn't give me enough based on other images I had seen in the reviews online. The curry tasted great, not sweet, good spice, the pork had a good flavor and was super crispy. However, my food came out first and we proceeded to wait 20 minutes for our second dish to come out with wait staff just stopping by, asking if we were still waiting and then running to the kitchen. Multiple times. They took the spices from our table before we were even done eating. I know what it's like to work closing at a restaurant, but we weren't the reason our food came out late while you were trying to close. Clean up the other tables and wait for us and the 3 other table to finish up our meal. That's just customer service. Especially when the spices just get gathered onto one table, you can wait. Good food, expensive for how much you get, service needs major improvement, atmosphere cute

Surprised it was rated this low. I honestly thought it was a 5/5, and one of the best udon spots in OC. All of the udon dishes were great, but my favorite had to be the kimchi one. Super flavorful and each bite was so good. Definitely good to !

Amazing service and delicious food! Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. The noodles were absolutely amazing and were the highlight of our meal. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!
